The Perseverance Rover Makes It To Mars!
What a time to be alive!
As you may have already seen, the Perseverance rover has not only made its way to Mars but has safely landed on the Martian surface last week and is already reporting back incredible pictures, videos, and even sounds!

On Thursday, February 18, 2021, I sat my family on the couch and got NASA's YouTube livestream running on our TV. It was around 3:30PM EST and we were only a few minutes away from atmospheric entry.

It all happened so quickly; milestone after milestone being met with applause from the NASA JPL crew and before we knew it we heard the callout everyone was anxious for - "Tango Delta!" - touchdown of "Percy" on the surface of Mars!
Still in awe from this incredible accomplishment, it would only be a few days later, on Monday, February 22, 2021 that we would be treated to a barrage of Martian insights in the form of a descent and landing video, panoramic images of the surrounding landscape, and even the sound of wind gusts captured from the rover - please see them below:

I am so incredibly happy to have been able to see this historic moment unfold with my family through a livestream and also have access to resources that allow us to hear and see Mars like never before! I am curious to see what other insights we'll be treated to and look forward to many new discoveries!
